Burr, It's Cold In Here

Oh.My.God. Sorry about that. What? You don't know what I'm talking about? Bring it On! Duh. Google it then.

Why is it that right around Easter the weather always turns to complete CRAP? Always. It's nice all week long and then BAM! It's cold and gross. Blue Eyes and myself will be traveling to the Hill Country this evening to go stay at my parents'. You know what that means right?!?! I get to see ROWDY!!! Yay!! Oh, I get to spend time with my Mom and Dad also. But ROWDY!!! YAY!! I miss him! Anylamewad, we will be spending Easter there. My B.E. is getting over a little cold or something. He's been hoarse and coughing and I'm really hoping I don't get it! He needed to go to the doctor and get a shot but he didn't. I hate being sick. Besides, I don't have just a whole lot of sick time left since I like to use mine when I'm not really sick. Ssshhhhh.

Welp, I should have some pictures after this weekend of our adventures in the Hill Country.

Ohhh Blue Eyes did good. I was totally not expecting flowers, or anything today. Especially after he called me this morning and said, "You do like Daisy's for Valentine's Day, riiiight?" I'm like, "Uhh, no. Tulips. Remember? Remember how I told you I love Tulips, and it's on my blog also?"
..........
So come to find out, the little jokester had already bought my Tulips!!! He's so silly. I already told him what I had planned for us for tomorrow, which is us just staying home and grilling steak and shrimp. I was going to make heart shaped cheese cake, but I couldn't find any heart shaped pans!! Oh well.

I know a lot of people hate Valentine's Day. I am not one of those people. There is just something about it that I love. That's it. I love LOVE.

I love to blog. I love to read blogs. But for some reason, I don't ever make time to blog!! I have been pretty busy over the past few days. With school and work, I'm not left with a whole lot of extra time to blog.

I am so happy because Blue Eyes and I bought a new car! (or a whip, as he calls it) We got a 2008 Black Trail Blazer and I love it! So for our first road trip we went to San Antonio on Saturday to the River Walk. We were only planning on spending the day there and then coming back that night, but Blue Eyes' Dad offered to get us a hotel ON the River Walk and it was so much fun! We walked around, had a drink at some British Pub called Mad Dogs (where I swear our server was a tranny) and then we went to Joe's Crab Shack and had more drinks and food. After we spent all of our money :/ (whoops)...we went back to our room on the 20th floor and decided to go down to the 3rd floor to the hot tub and pool. It was pretty chilly out, but we got in the pool anyway!! BRRR!! The hot tub felt really good and we were in bed by 11. Sad. We were tired from driving all day!

I have my first Anatomy test tonite, and B.E. helped me study last night. That was fun. Hmm. I think I'll have to study alone because we can't seem to get anything done without making jokes. Thank you for helping me B.E.!!!

Valentine's is coming up and I LOVE that day! I know some people don't but I really just love everything about Valentine's Day. I'm not expecting a present or anything but I still really love the day. Honestly, I love just getting a card, because that means a lot more to me. Your significant other actually has to read the cards and pick one that's best for you, and I like that. It takes a little time, but it's worth it. (i also love tulips, massages, and pedicures..hint..hint..hint...)

Anyway, I better start studying some more.

That Time Of Year Again

So this last weekend, Brandon and I went to my parents' to celebrate Christmas with my Dad's side of the family. We had lots of fun! I also turned 27 on Sunday and my Mom made a really good lunch and we had CUPCAKES!! I got to see my little Rowdy and he was as sweet as ever! OH and I almost forgot, I need to say hello to DANA OGLESBY!!! My BFF reads my blog now! YEHAW!! Also, me and Brandon did NOT mean to match our shirts. It just happened that way!

Well hello there!

I am so happy to be back blogging for my 1 reader (yes, Ashley, that's you!). I have been so busy that I never have time to blog or do much of anything else. A lot has happened since I last posted. My roommate Brandon and I are officially together, so I guess I won't have to refer to him as my roommate anymore. I'm sure some people might think, "Gosh, she moves fast." But I really don't care what people think, because I'm freaking HAPPY!!!! We have been really good friends for about 10 months now and after I moved in with him and our other roommate, we just realized how much we liked each other. We are in love. He is so awesome and I love spending every moment I can with him. We are always laughing and loving on each other and I just LOVE him! He is so considerate and he treats me so great, just like I should be treated! And he has the prettiest blue eyes ever! Ok, are you done throwing up? HAHA.... We are going to my parent's again this weekend for Christmas with my Dad's side of the family. OHHH and...he bought me a new camera for Christmas!! I love it! It's purple and I will post a picture of him at the end of this post that I took with my new camera!!!!

Another exciting thing to happen? Our roommate moved out yesterday. Thank GOODNESS!!! Things were not working out with him living with us and it is already better without him. After he snorted a muscle relaxer up his nose, I knew something was not right with this guy.

My birfday is Sunday. I'm turning 27 and I feel a little bit old. Sad. I also get to see my baby brother Joshie in 7 days!!! Can't wait!!!!!!!!

I'm Stuffed

The day after Thanksgiving really STINKS! Not only do I have to work-gross....but, I always feel like I gained five pounds in one sitting. Oh well, I'll just have to work out extra hard next week!

My Thanksgiving was good. I got to see my family and ROWDY!!! I don't remember if I ever posted about this or not, but Rowdy lives with my parents now. He is so happy there. It broke my heart to see him though, because I really miss him a lot! He slept with me when I was there and I just loved on him so much. I'll get to spend more time with him at Christmas, and I can't wait! Brandon went home with me for Thanksgiving so that was fun. My parents like him A LOT! He and my Dad were sitting on the couch talking and I have never heard some of the stories my Dad was telling him about all his old trucks that he has had. My Dad does not usually sit and talk and tell stories to anyone, so I know he really likes him a lot.

We are going to Abilene tonight to take my brother something we brought back from Lampasas for him. I'm so glad it's Friday!!

In other exciting news I've lost 20 pounds since leaving the "ex". Oh yes. It's amazing what NOT sitting around watching TV every night will do for you.

Domestic Goddess-I Get's It From My Mama

So I planned a Thanksgiving Dinner Pot Luck at my work for today. And because I am exactly like my mom, I HAD to sign up to bring the most complicated item-TURKEY!!! I don't know what it is about us. Maybe we have to show off our awesome culinary skills? Maybe we are insane? I'm not real sure.
Anyturkeyway. I set my alarm for 2:00am. Yes, you are reading that correctly. 2am. At 1:40am I awake in a panic, thinking that I have overslept and wondering how in the world I'm going to cook at 14lb turkey by 8am. After I looked at my clock and realized I had not overslept, I very slowly got out of bed. Hardwood floors are so cold in the morning. BRRR. Ok, so here I am, in the kitchen that is being torn apart right now because Brandon *blush, giggle, blush* has three home improvement projects going on right now. Half of the cabinets don't have doors, half of the floor is being redone. Silly boy. Tee hee. Oh sorry, off subject. Ok, so.....here I am half asleep carefully cutting open the wrapper on this, *vomit* naked bird. Here is the part I really hate. Pulling out the giblets and the NECK. EWWWWW. So disgusting. I finally get the nasty little naked bird in the roaster and rub garlic and rosemary all over it. Mmm, smells so yummy.

Let me just go ahead and fast forward. I got up at 3:30am, 5:00am and 6:00am. I didn't want my bird, who I went ahead and named Frank, to burn or dry out. I also had to cook broccoli cheese casserole and dinner rolls.

Needless to say, me tired. I hope everyone likes the turkey. I'm thinking it's going to be the last one I make!!!
