Ice Pick Whaaaat?

Wednesday, May 6, 2009

Something is going on with my head. Something weird. Saturday, Blue Eyes and I were eating lunch and all of a sudden it felt like something sharp stabbed me in my right temple. It happened so fast and hurt so bad I basically screamed. Then it just went away as quick as it came. So I didn't think anything of it for the rest of the day. On Sunday, it happened again a few times. I immediately thought to myself that I must have a tumor. I have a very vivid imagination and I watch a lot of Grey's Anatomy. So, yea. At work on Monday, it happened again in the morning while I was talking to my boss, and I seriously just had to stop for a second because this one lasted longer. It happened a few more times that day and for most of Monday, I had a headache. I looked online and the symptoms I was having is a headache called ice pick headaches. That is exactly how it felt. An ice pick stabbing me in the side of the head. I made an appointment with my doctor and I went yesterday. They took blood to see if I have an inflamed (funny word) artery or nerve behind my eye. He said that normally only happens to older people (wth?) and if my blood test showed negative for that and I was still getting these stabbing pains, then I would need to go to a Neurologist to have an MRI. Yay. More money that I don't exactly have. Even with my insurance, I would have to pay close to $1300.00 for the scan.

Uhhh. I just don't know. As I'm writing this right now, I have a headache, but I haven't gotten the stabbing feeling today, yet. I'm sure it will happen right in the middle of me having another conversation.

I only have today and tomorrow, and then Blue Eyes and I are officially on vacation. I'm really excited to get outta here!
